I just wanted to come on right quick and share one of my favorite recipes..baked macaroni and cheese (Bahamian Style). It's super easy, quick and finger-lickin' good! You can't go wrong with it. We usually eat it only as a side but it can also serve as a filling meal..(well for me *shrugs*) . Anyway, I'll jump right into it.
Baked macaroni and cheese: Bahamian Style |
Ingredients |
1 box macaroni
2 eggs
2 tbsp. butter
1 small onion (chopped)
1/2 green bell pepper (chopped)
1/2 red pepper (chopped)
1 block regular/sharp Cheddar cheese (grated)
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 scoop of mayonaise (optional)
table salt or seasoning of choice
2 eggs
2 tbsp. butter

Don't let macaroni get too soggy/soft. |
1) Preheat Oven and grease baking pan.
2) Boil macaroni as directed on the box.Drain and let sit in the colander.
3) Add grated cheese and remaining ingredients (chopped peppers, onions, butter, eggs,mayo (optional), milk and eggs).
4) Stir until cheese is melted, all ingredients are well-blended and texture is creamy.
5)Pour into baking pan. Top with thin layer of grated cheese and bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Add all ingredients. |
Place mixture in baking pan, add grated cheese to top layer. |
Bake and wait until golden brown |
